EMERGENCY WORK

From the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989 to the City of Richmond Via Verde Sinkhole in 2010, Bay Cities has answered the call to provide quick, solutions to unexpected problems. Within hours following the Loma Prieta Earthquake, Bay Cities had mobilized to the collapsed Cypress Freeway in Oakland. For that night and the weeks which followed, Bay Cities provided the State of California with equipment and manpower to assist rescue efforts of those trapped in their cars. Bay Cities also reconstructed Via Verde on an accelerated basis to repair a massive sinkhole for the City of Richmond.

For its emergency work at the Cypress Freeway and slope repairs Northbound on Hwy 680, Caltrans awarded Bay Cities with Certificates of Appreciation. Bay Cities has the means, know-how and experience to quickly respond to emergencies.
