Bay Cities Paving and Grading Joins the MCE 100% Deep Green Initiative

Concord, CA  – Bay Cities Paving and Grading, one of California’s premier paving, grading, and underground firms, today announces that it is taking part in MCE’s 100% Deep Green initiative. As part of this program, Bay Cities has pledged to purchase and utilize 100% renewable energy to run their operations, including their expansive headquarters and shop campuses. This commitment is part of Bay Cities’ accelerated efforts to achieve their sustainability goals, company-wide.

“By committing to the MCE Deep Green program, we have substantially replaced our energy intake of fossil fuels with renewable energy sources,” said Daniel Rodriguez, Bay Cities’ Area Manager. “By taking these steps we are doing our part to reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses being emitted into the atmosphere.  This is something that each member of our team, and our company as a whole, can get behind and champion.”

By fulling investing in the Deep Green initiative, Bay Cities joins other local businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies that have publicly pledged to only utilize completely renewable energy sources. This collective effort hits the climate crisis head-on, by putting more clean energy onto the grid to replace fossil fuels. As a further benefit of the program, MCE invests half of the premiums paid for Deep Green into projects and programs that benefit local communities.
